FREE Trauma-Informed Trainings and Awareness Events

The Amherst Caring Coalition provides free trauma-informed training for businesses, churches, and civic groups. We are happy to coordinate training sessions of all sizes. Additionally, we aim to raise awareness about Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and trauma by setting up information tables at community events. Whatever your needs may be, we can accommodate them. Just let us know!

Training Options:
Our trauma-informed training opportunities cater to groups of all sizes, offering a variety of options to suit your needs. Choose from the following options or request to design something that works for your organization:
-
1-hour introductory session for those unfamiliar with ACEs and the impacts of trauma. This training session is all about building awareness.
-
3-hour awareness deep dive for groups who are interested in learning more about how trauma affects the body, brain anatomy, and health outcomes.
- Customized sessions are available for organizations that have started building awareness and would like to move toward becoming trauma-informed employers. Session durations can range from 1-hour to a full day, depending on your needs and desires.

Awareness Events:
By participating in community events, we can effectively spread awareness of trauma and its impacts, fostering a deeper understanding among individuals and organizations. Engaging with the community allows us to share valuable resources, connect with diverse audiences, and promote conversations around trauma-informed practices. Together we can create a supportive environment that encourages healing and resilience, empowering everyone to contribute to a more informed and compassionate community.
