This introductory session takes only an hour, so it can easily fit into a lunch break or team meeting.

This training is an introduction to trauma and how trauma affects individuals, organizations, and communities. It is an evidence-based model designed by Ace Interface. This session will explain how trauma has impacted everyone, what the impacts look like in your organization, and help leaders think about the small changes that will support their employees and improve their organizational culture. Which trainer leads your session depends mostly on scheduling availability and the needs of your organization. Since all members of the Amherst Caring Coalition are leaders in their own organizations, we understand the demands of a busy scheudle. We will do our best to find a member who is available at your preferred date/time. Amherst Caring Coalition has members who are certified trainers of Ace Interface and Trauma and Resilience. We also have expertise among our members in the following areas: first responders, collective and secondary trauma, parent and family dynamics, positive discipline, mindfulness, and leadership. If you are interested in having a trainer with expertise in one of these areas, please let us know and we will work to accomodate your request. We want to make this experience valuable for you!

No, we are happy to bring trauma awareness to your organization at any time! In fact, if you already have background knowledge in trauma, you don't need the Trauma Training for Leaders. If you are unsure about what to do, contact us and we are happy to help guide you according to your organization's needs.

Consultation Services are for leaders who are ready to make small changes to support their people and improve the culture in their organization. This service is completely tailored to your organizational needs and goals. Our members will meet with you and/or your leadership team to help you assess your organization, look at your relevant data, and identify policy or practices that could be improved.
